Re: Prayers for the motherland! (Saturday,December 22nd, 07 @ 10:00pm.)

Dear friends,

In exactly twenty days from today,our motherland will be going into polls to chose leaders for the next five years.

From all that I have read,I know without any doubts that we in the diaspora love our motherland and want nothing but the best for her.

There is no question that each one of us has done our best in campaigning for our candidates by saying all kinds of good things about them and presenting their vision for the motherland should wananchi decide so come December 27th. Whatever we said,is based on our best understanding of who they are.

But now I think time has come that we need to take the motherland case a level higher. We need to lift our eyes yonder from whence cometh our salvation. We need to set time a side and earnestly pray for the forth coming elections. As you are aware,without the intervention of our God,things can get off hand.

After consultation with some of us,I wish to suggest that we set a side Saturday,December 22nd,2007 @ 10:00 pm as time we can all join together to pray that God's will be done.The idea is that wherever you will be at that time to stop whatever you are doing and pray for our motherland.
