Re:Ethnic ministries

Dear friends,

The Seventh day Adventist (SDA)work in Minnesota falls under mainly two conferences-Minnesota conference (Caucasians)and Central States-(African Americans.)

As of today,most of our African led churches-KCC,All Nations,Mt Of Blessings,United,Oromo,and Maranatha fall under Minnesota Conference. Faith and Capital fall under Central States.

In the just concluded seminar of all Minnesota conference pastors at Maple wood Academy in Hutchinson,it was pointed out that the Adventist work in the Twin Cities has been very slow indeed.

On a positive and very encouraging note,it was observed that the ethnic ministries(Africans,Hispanics and others) are on the rise and have already made an impact in this community. If the trend continuous,the next few years will witness a majority ethnic SDA members in the Minnesota Conference.

My dear brothers and sisters it's not by accident that you and I find ourselves in this great Nation. God brought us here for a purpose; to bear witness of that which He has done unto us.

There are many of you out there who are sitting on talents. To you all I say, "Arise and Shine for your Lord dear friends."

Whichever church you have chosen as your home church,purpose in your heart to make a contribution instead of just attending. Support the church by your talents,time and finances.

For those who have no home church, please pick from any of the above or any other and be part of the witnessing team.

Wherever State you are,please make a calculated effort to join hands with fellow brothers and Sisters in Lightening this part of the world.

Let us have as many ethnic churches as we can for experience has proved that indeed they have their part to play in whichever State/country you find yourself in.

When all is said and done,one day you will be happy when someone will come to you with these words:"It was because of you that I made it to the Kingdom." Oh what a glorious day that will be! Don't you think so?
