Re:This day in the Bible Dear friends, While there are certain issues that the Bible is silent, there are others that it's as clear as day light. Such is this day-Friday. In the Manna experience that is found in Exodus chapter 16,the children of Israel were supposed to pick manna daily, enough for their use. If anyone picked more,it rot. However, on Friday, they were supposed to pick enough for two days. It was made clear then that Friday was the preparation day;a day before the Sabbath. According to Leviticus 23:23,the Sabbath was supposed to be observed from Evening to evening.(Friday evening to Saturday evening.) or better still, from sun down to sun down. The New Testament is explicit by stating that the day that Jesus died, Friday, as well known world wide was the preparation day.If you have time, check Luke 23:54-56; Luke 24:1. Has anything changed since then? Just wondering. Blessings and happy Friday to each one of you. Pr Birai 612-386-4608 www.ThemaranathaSDAchurch.org Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
