RE: IT'S ODM REVOLUTION; Come out and vote for Raila Chifu wrote: Ndugu Odhiambo Let us wait until election day. The PNU guys can talk and talk. ODM is about Kenya in contrast to PNU which I really believe is about Central Province. So I am telling you that ODM is the party to be and the PNU propaganda is all that. I am just worried about the outcome of the elections. I fear and afraid that a Kenyan life is going to be lost. If I am in the government right now extra and I mean extra security is a must come election day. 11 days and counting till election day in Kenya. Chifu Chifu, I share with you on the same, we need to be extra vigilant and ensure that no Kenyan dies because we are voting Kibaki out. Our only concern is that if Kenyans do not come out and vote, we will not achieve all that we have set ourselves for for the last 5 years. We could end up being saddled with another Kibaki presidency which will definately kill Kenya. The latest report we have, and this is courtesy of a friend who sent it to me from UK last night, if Kenyans have 100% voter turn out, Raila will get 63%, Kibaki 27%. If Kenyans have 90% voter turn out, Raila will get 58%, Kibaki 33%. If the turn out is 80%, Raila will get 53%, Kibaki 39%. If the turn out is 50%, Raila will get 43% and Kibaki 42%. And with the known trends of the GEMA block votes, Kenyans must not take any chance. This is a report supprted by the world. So if the whole world, and all our development partners know that Kibaki has failed on the 4 cardinal promises he made, ie constitution, tribalism, corruption, and 500 000 jobs, then who are we to retain Kibaki as our CEO? We must come out in all our numbers, so that we will be counted in history as having taken part in the defeat of this arrogant presidency. And this must be the pride of each loving Kenyan, that your vote counted when it mattered most. Make it your personal responsibility to campaign for a high voter turn out. Talk to your neighbours, your friends, your enemies, and convince them to come out and help save Kenya on 27th December 2007, so that the people can have their president. Odhiambo T Oketchbr Komarock Nairobi From: karegwa muchiri Bwana Oketch, I think your figures which you claim are known to the world are all erroneous. It is quite hale and hearty to ask all Kenyans including the populous Gema community members to come out in big numbers and vote Kibaki out but you will be shocked by the outcome of the coming elections. Raila Amolo Odinga unfortunately is not winning this coming election. All those polls that have given you and others that impression are a sham and have been all been manipulated by the National Intelligence Services to give you and your candidate false hope. The outcome of the referendum will not influence this coming election in any way and so there is no precedence to borrow from. The results of the referendum was influenced by Moi’s support for the Orange side and we know where Kanu and Moi are in this election.. I do not want to go into demerits and the merits of Kibaki Presidency but what he has done for Kenya in a span of five years talks for itself. Kenya does not need to take risks with non starters. Other than popularity test kindly quote any achievements of Hon Raila for Kenya or Kibera. Kindly also tell us a little about the Molasses Factory in Kisumu and why the members of the public in Nyanza never got their refund after putting in funds to bail out the factory and now the factory is owned by the Odinga Family. Talk of Molass Fleecing his own community my brother. Becoming a president just for the sake of proving a point to the Gema community is not what Kenya needs. I am sure you read about the consistent inconsistencies in the nature of your favored presidential candidate in the Sunday Nation yesterday. Kibaki has done much more than Moi did in 24years. He needs another chance to accomplish all the unfinished business. Finally, it is called an election and the outcome could surprise everyone. So don’t be so sure. Ask Kenyans to come out in big numbers and vote. Above all, pray that we have a better President and government in the next five years. Do not assume that change of guard at the house on the hill means a better Kenya. As Bob Marley said, ‘Only time will tell’ Lets not be emotional about this coming election. Life has to continue after December 27th whether Raila or Kibaki wins. That talk about unrealistic promises in the first 100 days is just giving Kenyans false hopes like what Narc did in 2003. There is certainly nothing objective about campaigns today and the statements coming from the politicians but Kenyas need continuity and that is embodied by Hon Kibaki. Anything less than that is not good for Kenya at this time in history. Popularity count will not deliver Kenya to the promised land . Emotions and excitement about imaginary change not backed by all economic and social variables will not help the poor. We need serious proposals to bring about change in Kenya. Unfortunately we haven’t seen such proposals from Hon Raila. I am not an apology for Hon Kibaki but give Kenyans a chance to decide. Over to Kenyans to decide. May the best Man win. May Kenyans Win above all. Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
