Re: Raila's economy doesn't add up Dear Colleagues, Though I do not like engaging in this kind of political parochialism and fanaticism I wish to comment on a few issues: I wish to start by noting that ethnicity is a tool mainly used by the political class to mesmerize the citizenry in pursuit of self interest. I believe that the interests of 3 presidential demagogues and barracudas are not different to the extend of making us the citizenry not converge on our interests. In any each case, we should be focusing on the most effective mechanisms for mobilizing Kenyans for accountable, just and human rights centered governance (once any of them comes to power anyway). Therefore, it is abominable, myopic, illusionary and fallacious to assume that we belong to the above club of autocrats, plutocrats and tyrants. If you think they are better (to warrant your assumed differences), herein attached find the 3 cartoon from the Daily Nation last month. We should open our minds and think beyond the current political opportunism and idiosyncrasy to strategic issues of national interest-e.g. banishing impunity, negative ethnicity, poverty, inequity and insecurity among others. How can we achieve these and streamline these political mafias? I start by saying that we need positive conspiracy against them. About the other strategies-Kazi kwenu. Kind Regards Davis M.
