china to enhance ties with africa BY JEFF OTIENO IN BEIJING CHINA. The people's republic of china has pledged to continue with strong cordial relations with african countries. Speakig during the official opening of youth exchange programme deputy foreign Affairs minister disagreed with the west for tying it's support to stringent political conditionalities which he described as unrealistic as is not incomformity with his countries foreign policy. The two weeks programme is the culmination of chinese president¡¯s Hu Jintao's recent visit to south africa where he promised to offer 500 youth's an exchange opportunity for the next 3 years in his country. The 100 delegates is the first batch of a series to follow in order to enhance cordial ties with the people's republic of china. Mr He Junke person in charge of the all china youth federation later hosted the delegates drawn from ten african countries for a banquet in capital hotel Bei Jing. Earlier before the Kenyan delegates took off from Nairobi Kenya over the weekend, Chinese ambassador to Mr Zhang Ming lauded the continued cordial ties between the two countries. Kenyan foreign affairs minister Mr Raphael Tuju speaking on telephone vowed to work relentlessly to ensure that the bilateral bond between the two countries is maintained. The over 100 delegates are to tour 4 chinese cities including the historic great wall of china, Bei Jing Olympic stadium, three local universities, two industries before they leave for Naning port city bordering Vietnam and Guang Zhou Honda automobile company.
