Re: Post-elections Chaos in Nairobi John Maina wrote: Crowds protesting the suspicious activities of ECK/govt took to the street this morning matching from kibera to KICC where they were met by para-military police. Other parts of Nairobi witnessed similar chaos including Nyanza and the Coast provinces. Shops and businesses have closed down in Nairobi in case there's total chaos. It seems as if PNU/Kibaki govt does not want to exit peacefully and they are acting like a wounded animal. Its believed Michuki and company are behind these suspicious delay tactics to award Raila the presidency. What a shame for a govt that claimed it was ging to accept the people's verdict. The people have spoken and sent the whole cabinet packing and the will of the people is more powerful than the govt security agents. JM. ------------------- JM, I am beginning to see that Moi was a democrat. The moment he saw his first project loosing, he told them to concede defeat and therein, Kibaki was sworn in. Kibaki is behaving differently. The man is so cold. He has now resorted to the use of the police, but I can assure you, Kenyans have spoken, and no police will stand on our way. We have reclaimed our Kenya, and we will now give it to Raila. In doing so, we made so many sacrifices. We are now prepared to do all that it takes to secure our victory. Maybe Kibaki does not know some simple history. He should be advised of people power. 1 million Kenyans are matching to town from all the corners, and no police will stop us. And this we can do on a daily basis until Hon Raila is sworn in as our next president. Odhiambo T Oketch Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
