OPEN LETTER TO JUDY KIBAKI Hi Judy The Nation Newspaper dated 3 December 07 covered your campaign at Kibera Nairobi. It is your right as citizen of democratic Kenya to campaign for your candidate of choice. Needless to say you are campaigning for your father. Go right ahead dear lady and indulge yourself in the panoramic political space won through the sweat of the army of gallant veterans of Kenya's second liberation struggle. I have huge concerns about your message. I disagree with you seriously when you urge Kenyans to vote for Kibaki on grounds that: The President keeps his promises. About this I wish to correct you. The Kibaki in State house has broken many promises in the past. As a reminder sample these: · This Kibaki once promised Kenyans water for all. Did he fullfil it? · This Kibaki once promised Kenyans health for all. Did he fullfil it? · This Kibaki promised to declare war on corruption. Instead corruption has grown under his watch. · This Kibaki promised security for all Kenyans. Instead he has allowed a few political sacred cows to visit mayhem and terror upon Kenyans with impunity. Is Molo not burning under Kibaki's watch? How about the mayhem in the Mount Elgon region ? · This Kibaki promised to deal with tribalism.Instead under his watch tribalism has run riot. This Kibaki was sent to State house carried high on top of the great NARC dream which rather than deliver he shuttered, punchured and trashed. · This Kibaki was party to the IPPG agreement on nominations of ECK commissioners, but in 2007 he has disdainfully shortchanged Kenyans on this agreement. Is it not this Kibaki who refused to renew Mukele's term simply because the great Kenyan vowed not to allow two political parties to have a common symbol ( orange) ? The list of this Kibaki's broken, unfulfilled, unmet and trashed promises is long, very long indeed. So I wonder, who is this President you refer to who keeps his promises?Judy do not forget that the point men who control this Kibaki have openly stated that he makes promises and enters into political agreement merely for their expediency. So please do not try to rub us the wrong way because Kibaki's true charater is out there in public domain. Because of a catalogue of broken promises the Kenyan people, being the Pumbavus na Mavi ya Kuku, as he carelessly refers to us, have decided to retire this Kibaki. We are sending him back to his rightful constituency of Othaya. Yes, in 2007 Kibaki atabaki kama jina lake. With ODM out to finish the race the Kalenjin way this serpentine Kibaki has no chance. And this Kibaki has no chance because he has neither votes nor sympathy in North Eastern Province and other five provinces. This reality cannot be fixed by way of doctored statistics. We Kenyans are vigilant and we marvel at his attempts to use statistics the way a drunkard uses the lump post. Have no doubt Judy, this Kibaki is being sent out of State House because we Kenyans have decided to do ourselves proud the Ole Ntimama way. Why do you think Edward Keen sacrificed that much for us all? Mark you ODM is going all out to state house on the sacrifice of millions of other Kenyans. Sisi watu wadogo ,as Moi sarcastically refers to us, have at last overcome the hopelessness visited upon us by the likes of your father. This Kibaki is on his way out because new leadership is coming to Kenya the Elijah Masinde way. And Judy do not underrate Mama Rainbow she whose robust intelligence has added pepper to the Pentagon punch.Oh yes, we aim to deliver a knock-out punch the Conjesta style and thereby send the hegemonistic threesome into political oblivion. After all the whole bunch of them are already transfixed by a great sense of owe of the Tsunami a foot.Their one million shilling a plate dinner charade was their last state house supper and about this I am as a good a prophet as Phoibos Apollo himself. Finally a little quote from Birds by Aristophanes; "sound the alarm ! sound the alarm! Our world's betrayed, we have been defiled! A former friend, a fellow creature, Who shared these plains, our habitat Has now transgressed our ancient laws Transgressed the oath of birds."
