A leader talking in Parables to his tribe

Have you ever wondered who President Kibaki actually addresses? Many people make this mistake to think that Kibaki addresses the entire kenyan population when he says KAZI IENDELEE. Well for your information . THe President talks in a parable. He is specific on the recipient of the message. His message revibrates loud and clear to those people who live in the ridges of the "RIVER BETWEEN." Did any of you read that book by Ngugi Wathiongo? It was one of the books I had to read and analyze when I was taking literature at St Charles Lwanga in Mombasa.

Well that story was very rich, It pointed to the dilema that the African faced in the advent of Christianity. The African was torn between embracing the old traditions as opposed to going for the Christian "Crusaded values" which advocated for abandoning the old traditional ways of our people. Many years have gove by, since this novel was written, yet the African is still torn in between, more so the old Gard. This then brings us to the President.

You see, the President is at the River between, but he has not crossed over yet. Whenever he talks, he is always talking facing the direction where he is coming from. And when he looks back there, he sees a lot of imaginery development. He sees Roads, Coffee farms, Tea Farms, Tea factories, coffeeprocessing plants, and many others build and or erected by Mzungu before he was kicked out) He then imagines that this is the whole Kenya. Question is "What new plans for roads or aschools or Factories have Kibaki brought even in these ridges alone?? So when he says Kazi iendelee, which kazi does he refere to? Ya KUKARABATI or KUJENGA? Little does the president realise that even those who live across the River on the other side are also in Kenya.

Unfortunately, he is yet to cross the River to find out what is happening on the other side across the plains and beyond the hills. Once he does this then he will come to a shocking realization that his work has been shoddy. Accross the River, even proper Roads do not exist, they dont have even water to drink. Yet the President could have initiated some development strategies to bring them Roads, water, employment, etc to alievate poverty. It looks a bit difficult for Kibaki to come to this realization so that he can initiate any New Developments in these few remaining days before elections. He never crossed the River in 5 years. He will not be able to do it now!

Kibaki will therefore continue to address the people who live on the other side of the River. So KAZI IENDELEE YA KUCHANNEL 80% OF THE TAXES TO CENTRAL KENYA, WHILE ELEVATING EVERY OTHER PERSON INCLUDING CLOWNS FROM THAT REGION, TO BE HEADS OF GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS. THIS IS WHAT HE UNDERSTANDS, BECAUSE ESENTIALLY THAT IS WHAT HE SEES. HE HAS NOT YET CROSSED THE RIVER TO SEE KENYA AT LARGE.

For the above reason, any sober person who thinks he/she is a Kenyan would be advised to think twice about Kibaki's re election. To me the people who have crossed that River and who are already encountering the problems on the other side of the River are ODM. They have already come up with a solution to those problems. They can only be addressed by UGATUZI. So Kenyans really do not have an option but to elect ODM and this RAILA Man. KIbaki can be left alone to go on addressing a section of Kenyans who have not seen what he has not done, because they are accross the River and standing with KIbaki. How about the REST OF KENYANS?
