Dear Friend,
I wanted to share a quick update on what has been a big week
in Iowa.
The last debate before the Iowa caucuses took place yesterday
in Des Moines, and Barack came out the clear winner. He was bold, decisive,
and gave Iowans a clear vision of the change he wants to bring to the White
House.
With the news dominated by increasingly negative attacks from
our opponents, Barack stayed positive -- and Iowans took note.

Folks in Iowa are energized about Barack Obama. From supporters
to volunteers to our Precinct Captains, people are listening to his call that
"change begins with you."
Since I wrote my "unusual request" on Tuesday, more than 20,000
notes and letters have been sent to Precinct Captains and volunteers.
Your stories, words of encouragement, and passion for change
have connected with the folks here on the ground and moved them more than
I can tell you. Thanks for reaching out.
At the same time, more than 5,000 of you donated in less than
24 hours in response to the egregious attacks on Barack's character -- demonstrating
once and for all that negativity will have a cost for our rivals.
You can still help raise the cost of negativity for our opponents
by making a donation of $25 now:

It's less than three weeks until the caucuses here in Iowa,
and as we get closer you'll be hearing more from me. I'll do my best to keep
you connected with what's happening on the ground and the ways you can help.
We're on our way!
Paul

P.S. -- The increasing attacks over the last few weeks caused
a Precinct Captain for one of our opponents to rethink her choice of candidate.
Hear what she has to say in her own words:
