ONE LAST FIGHT

Fellow Kenyans,

Nobody said this was going to be easy. We all took it for granted that the seeds of democracy had been firmly planted in Kenya when President Daniel Arap Moi relinquished power to Mwai Kibaki. Now we know how wrong we've been. Clearly there are men in Kenya who still see themselves as being above the law. The call of a time like this is for kenyans to be resolute. We must not allow Kibaki and his corrupt handlers to set a precedent where a man who loses an election declares himself president by force.

I want to thank Chairman Samuel Kivuitu for being strong and incorruptible. When the story of Kenya's struggle for democratization is written, he will take his place as among the great sons of the nation, who rejected the schemes of an elitist group of moneyed Kenyans who thought they could buy the nation.

But as Chairman Kivuitu stands up to the strong arm tactics of the power barons, it's time to call on members of the police force and the military to remember that we're all brothers and sisters bound by destiny to live within the borders of one nation. Kenya. If we burn, we all burn together. And if we float, we all float together. So do the honorable thing, our military people, and don't hurt innocent Kenyans.

Finally, let's all be on our knees for the nation we love. We all thought the journey to a different chapter in Kenya would begin on the 28th. It would have. It hasn't. But it will. Because if this is our final stand against the forces that have raped our motherland for forty years, we must win this war for the sake of our children's future and the future of the nation our freedom fighters gallantly gave their lives for.
