Ugenya's Steve Mwanga challenged to declare source of campaign funds

A group of Ugenya Professionals (UPA) has given Ugenya KADDU parliamentary candidate Steve Mwanga up to December 15, 2007 to state who is funding his campaign. They have expressed disappointment at the blatant abuse of the political process by contestants in Ugenya, with the main culprit being Steve Mwanga.

A National Voter  Bribery Survey conducted by the Agenda Kenya said that Ugenya led all constituencies with Sh11 million in bribery. The findings were made public on NTV's weekly Agenda Kenya programme that went on air on Wednesday night.

"Ugenya is not for sale. If Mwanga cannot state the source his campaign funds, we will hit the road for the last two weeks to campaign viciously against him. Let him be assured that we need only one week to reduce him to rabbles." the terse statement said.
