Traffic jams and road carnage James, In the recent past, Nairobi is a city in the jam, while in the country side, our people are being killed on the road with complete abandon. Yet, we have a CEO in charge! President Kibaki must now take responsibilty over the road carnage that is killing our people. When we thought that they had come up with rules to regulate road transport, little did we know that the Michuki rules were basically meant to offload the imported speed governors and safety belts they had imported. Their people had imported these gudgets, and a market had to be created for the same. The best market was to come up with what Kenyans could think was a prudent government policy, while in real terms, it was an economic policy meant to fatten the bank accounts of a few known people. Besides, when we thought that order was finally creeping back to the PSV world, Kibaki and his team faced elsewhere, another place where they could also make another personal economic decision. To cap it all, the CEO outlawed all the Michuki rules in yet another of his now famous road side declarations. He must now take all responsibility on the many Kenyans killed in our potholed roads in the recent past. Their blood will haunt him, and he cannot escape this. Hawkers have also now invaded the Nairobi streets, yet another road side declaration in some desperate attempt at vote catching. Kenyans must now elect an Engineer who will do our roads, restore the rule of law, and create one Kenya where all of us have equal access to all opportunities.
