PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION; A brief response to Matunda Matunda;

Date: Mon, 07 Jan 2008 15:25:09 +0200
From: Paul Nyandoto
Subject: PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION

Odhiambo Oketch (kamrock)

You are are doing a very good job. I would advice you people to engage all classes of people, middle, high, low and even jobless in this struggle, the Diaspora also informed the international Red cross head office in Geneva about the suffering of our people down there on 01.01.2008 and the united nations headoffice in New York on the 02.01.2008. I personally sent an additional E- mail on those dates to the red cross in Geneva & United nations office New York about the suffering of our people in Kisumu, Eldoret and whole of Western Kenya and other parts of the republic. Diaspora have sent to EU our problems. Odhiambo also please tell people to buy as much food as they can to keep at home incase shops are not functioning after demonstrations. Tell the High class, middle class that they have a lot to gain even more than the Kibera slums or Mathare people incase Raila gets the presidency.

We do not want this injustice to continue, neither do we want our people to keep on suffering just because of Kibaki. There are a lot of Kikuyus also suffering very much despite the fact that people think they are enjoying because Kibaki is the president. Tell people the truth, this Kibaki is just a monster we have to get ride of. If he continues Kenyans will suffer more. because there will be no more money even to give people as salary. The economic boycott of Kenyan goods will soon start to bite, and with a lot of tourist now cancelling going to Kenya the High class, middle class etc are soon going to suffer too. So they should react before it is too late.

So encourage all to take part in peacful demonstration until the monsters goes back to where it came from.

Paul Nyandoto.

Bob K,

We now demand that ECK give us evidence of how Kibaki rose from 3.4 million votes as Raila stagnated at 4.2 million.

By just telling as that Raila and Kibaki were at 3.8 million all of a sudden is pathetic. Rising the Kibaki tally to lead was the problem.

Kenyans would not have rioted had they followed how Kibaki was rising and Raila stagnating.

We must hence all rise and save Kenya. The middle class must be part of this revolution. They have nothing to gain from a flawed presidency and a system that is now designed to ensure 'one of our own' is president for ever.

Other Kenyans also need the presidency.

A brief response to Matunda Matunda,

I've 'known' from the days before you were elected president of KCA and held you in high regard. Not any more. This is a very short response to your very long essay.

The fact that you just returned to Canada from Kenya should not give you the legitimacy to sound rational while spreading partisan PNU propaganda. While you were holed down in Nyamira we followed live TV news as well as those sent by people who were on the ground. Therefore, your very long rhetoric did not add anything new besides your personal and twisted bias.

You indicate correctly that when elections results started coming in, it was obvious that ODM, the legitimate winners of the elections, would form the next government. This was in deed a confirmation of what the opinion polls had consistently predicted all along. Kenyans had, to used your own expression, "resigned" to the fact that ODM had won then presidential race. To state it more correctly, wananchi had accepted the outcome as the majority had known it would be. Even many anti ODM here at RCB had matured enough to accept this reality. It was like second nature, actually, first nature. Therefore, any alteration to the sequence of events from the opinion polls to the results at 75% would have (as it has) certainly unleash havoc. And that this would happen was obviously predictable, in your words, you say that the reaction was immediate. Others have mistakenly taken the position that the peoples' reaction to the criminal erection of Kibaki as president for another term was premeditated, the evidence all over proves them very wrong. NB! the word erection above, is used not as a corruption of 'election' or in relation to a temporary state of a part of the male body.

The Molo results, we all know, was just the tip of an iceberg. You forgot results from Kiambaa and Juja, both just outside Nairobi. These were both PNU Kibaki friendly zones and that results were thus delayed was an abuse and offence to the electoral process. It was therefore totally unacceptable that they reported comical and very embarrassing results in favour of Kibaki. It was inconceivable that results from Lokichogio and Lodwar would arrive at ECK hqs days before those from the neighbourhood. But the main culprits and architects of the genocide we just witnessed in Kenya are those who planned and executed rigged results in Meru, Embu, and Ukambani. Remember, this was an afterthought after it became very clear that there was no way in this world Kibaki was going to win. I have the links to the interviews from these areas if you care to find out.

As much as I cherish the sanctity of human life and deplore the destruction of innocent life because of temporary political gain, I still believe that Kibaki and his handlers are 100% responsible for the killings and destruction that has been visited on us in the past week. If Kibaki and his people had accepted the results as they came, and resisted the temptation to manipulate them, Kenya would have been a much more place than it is today. My hope is that wananchi will soon move on from this nightmare and live peacefully together as they had done in the past decades. However, from what I know, real peace will not come when some communities rightly see that the government of the day is partisan and tribal.

The peoples reaction was prompted by anger, not envy/jealousy as you foolishly strive to dictate. You know well that Kibaki's government for the past 5 years had been, very corrupt, tribalistic and very partisan. People, therefore, became very ANGRY when the government decided to execute a coup (military or civilian is not for me to decided) disregarding the fact that the people had made a choice, and a very noble choice for change.

It is claimed that the ECK chairman, Mr. Kivuitu, was actually intimidated and forced to read generated results. This allegation seems true otherwise Kivuitu would not have said that he did not know who won the presidential elections and that some people around the president should never have been born.
