Fake GSU murdered Kenyans in Kisumu -- What is Going On? Sun, 13 Jan 2008 03:08:49 -0800 (PST) forwarded by Odhiambo O. from CCR-Kenya I left Kisumu yesterday and I can without a shadow of doubt say that some of the devils dressed in GSU cloths killing people in the lake side city are certainly not members of GSU/AP/Police. How do I know this? I just happened to be in the town on the aftermath of the announcement of the fake presidential results. I went to see a friend who is a care taker of the yet to be opened provincial headquarters. I was, however, barred from entering the compound because it had been converted into a temporary barracks for the GSU. I did see a couple of GSU officers who had dread locked hair, which surprised me since Kenyan forces are not known to keep such hair styles. Its the hair style which has convinced the residence of Kisumu that the fellows are Ugandans. I, however, suspect that they are Mungiki. Another issue is that there is such division among the forces that they are shooting each other. Why? Some get irritated that their colleagues are killing people for no apparent reason. The division is major among local police and forces brought in from elsewhere. While the local police mingle freely with the people informing them of new developments the outsiders have difficulty doing the same. In fact the local police are encouraging people to keep up the pressure of the government by lighting borne fires etc. On the other hand they are strongly discouraging looting and "chasing" people away. On another note the GSU in Kisumu are suffering from starvation. They don't have food and have resorted to either begging or robbing. I wonder why the government cannot provide them with food. Soon they will start selling their guns and uniforms. The other day some residents where caught attempting to poison the GSU personnel by putting rat poison in water and offering them. If Kibaki does not take care the thing might spin out of control. Violence seem to be gaining a life of its own in RVP, Nyanza and WP. http://kenya.rcbowen.com/talk/viewtopic.php?id=55124 CCR-Kenya brings together organizations and individuals who believe that for Kenya to truly attain genuine democratic liberation, comprehensive constitutional reforms must be completed before any elections. The coalition works to raise awareness to bring pressure on the ruling class to allow Kenyans to reform the constitution before another election. The struggle henceforth, is between "those who, satisfied with today, would make an effort to delay the future as much as possible, to put up obstacles against any substantive change, and those who, exploited today, aspire to a new reality."Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of the Heart, (1997), (p53).
