RE: ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS TO KENYA'S STALEMATE: Secession, Constitutional Reform, Military Coup Sun, 20 Jan 2008 20:31:11 -0600 You, sir [Joram], are indeed insane. The problem in Kenya is an African problem. If the fellow Africans are not being helpful, it is because they have no solution to it either, and not because another sovereign nation just joined the misery club. It took hundreds of years and thousands if not millions of lives lost through civil wars and world wars for western nations like the USA to develop their democracies to the levels of stability that they now enjoy. If the Wananchi are naive enough to believe that the right to bear arms will engender restraint on the part of the governing authorities then civil war is a forgone conclusion. And by the way, a civil war in Kenya could be a Tsunami that would level off most of the neighbouring "fellow Africans", and they know that too. Let us have some serious conversation here!! We are all in the same boat. - George Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
