What the HELL in Nakuru?

How necessary are the inter-tribal clashes in Nakuru region?, I asked myself. I'd never imagined a troubled Nakuru town and even more strangely, Kisumu town. I'm sure it has greatly troubled the retired president, a big warning to the 'sitting president', and eye opener to all living Kenyans. I happen to be from one of those mixed marriages and having lived in towns, my friends have no defined tribal boundaries.

If Kenyans are looking for the man to watch in the Rift Valley warfare, it is none other than the retired president. The man was so instrumental and contented with these clashes in early 90s. His persistent explanation was that they were common Kenyan's reaction against pro-multipartyism. As a matter of fact the now Kenyan peace envoy to Sudan deliberately maintained a non-interference attitude towards the clashes for weeks to give Kenyans a chance to rethink the merits of multiparty system. For sure the foundation of what we are currently witnessing was laid by Moi so he did right to avoid meeting Annan, for his honest input could truly shock Annan.

On the sitting president, the big warnings are the fruits of the illicit relation with Moi, and later his consent that a PNU win is supreme. Sources quoted a panel member of Kibaki must win saying that 'we cannot hand over power to the dogs'. This literally poured flameable liquid well beyond Rift Valley, from Coast to Busia.

This experience is an eye opener to the Kenyans: for sure nobody will win the ongoing clashes. Only them who trust in the Lord will. Look at Gideon's small army, with the Lord's input had straight win. Could the strong, the mighty and the sophisticated warriors, including the police take the warning. It is hope that nobody undermine the Annan intervention. He will not leave us fighting, for warring is an invention of the enemies of God.
