I was told by a highly placed intelligence operative this morning that Mr. Kibaki yesterday decided to step down for the sake of peace in the nation but Lucy Kibaki would hear none of it. She was overhead ordering mzee to "shut up" when mzee said to Uhuru Kenyatta, "Apatiwe. Alishinda" in reference to Raila defeating him. Uhuru did not respond for fear of mama Lucy, but he is also known to have confided in others that holding on much longer with this standoff may cause the collapse of most of his mama's and his friends businesses. Jama akasema mzee ana acute depression, lakini Lucy ni completely senile sasa.
