PNU AND ECK RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BLOODSHED IN THE COUNTRY

PNU and the ECK has made Kenya to undergo a very sad period her history. The desire to cling to power at whatever cost has been clearly displayed by PNU following its controversial election Victory. Even after the ECK chairman has come forward to admit that  he honestly do not know if Kibaki won the election, The president and his ministers are still thumping their chests talking about the completion a free and fair election.

At a time when Kenyans thought that vote rigging ended with the end of the KANU regime, The devil is once again rearing its ugly head into the Kenyan election process. And this time round through a person who most Kenyans have thought for a longtime to be a democrat and a states man-Mwai Kibaki.

Kibaki has displayed a sense of selfishness, arrogance, greed and obstinacy. For him, many people would rather loose their lives, property destroyed but let him remain in power. For him power is everything. He refused to learn from the many former leaders who behaved like this and ended up destroying their countries. Who will teach Kibaki a sense of leadership? Why is Kibaki ridiculing our long fought democracy and freedom? Kibaki have not just undermined democracy, he has pissed on civilization. He has taken Kenya Back to the colonial period when the British would make decisions and implement them with wanton arrogance.

Eight days after the general election, it was so saddening to see KIbaki smile with State house guests when the whole country was flowing with blood. People have died. Members of different communities have lost their loved ones, people have been displaced, People have been traumatized, and properties have been destroyed. So many people have been rendered hopeless when the president is busy smiling with state house guests and members of the press.

In a situation when even the ECK admits that elections have been flawed, tempers are bound to flare. For the second time ethnic hatred and suspicion between the Kenyan communities has been ignited. This is a very unfortunate situation. Pretence will cheat us that this is not the case. But the truth will confirm otherwise. Let Kenyans not go into a state of denial. Why pretend to call for peace when it is a well known fact what the course of the post election violence is.The buck stopped with kibaki.Let Kibaki swallow his pride. It will be solely his responsibility to see that he takes an action that will stop the hatred and violence.
