Release Okiya Okoiti Omtatah Obangonamasese Now!

Dear Maj Gen Ali and Prof Saitoti,
 
On Jan 17, my classmate, Okiya Okoiti Omtatah Obangonamasese chained himself in the city. He was arrested and charged. Why? Just because he wanted to express himself, to protest. He was peaceful. He spoke for all of us.
 
For those who do not know, Okiya Okoiti Omtatah Obangonamasese is the author of LUANDA MAGERE, a play.
 
As proponent of freedom of expression, I'd like to hear that he has been released from the police cells in Nairobi.
 
May all those who are for freedom of expression stand up and be counted. May all the media houses in Nairobi put pressure on Maj. General Ali to release Okiya Okoiti Omtatah Obangonamasese.
