Museveni Acting Alone?

Mr. Museveni visited the United States shortly before the elections. On his visit he is said to have had some tea with George Bush. Among the things discussed was the Kenyan election and Museveni¢s nightmare, Amolo Odinga.

Mr. Odinga¢s utterances during last year¢s campaign to the effect that he would demand for the return of Kenyans suspected of terrorism, may have rubbed someone the wrong way. It¢s for this reason that only two people congratulated Kibaki on his theft. The US later withdrew their congratulatory message, but the damage had been done.

Any Kenyan with any sense would have seen this for what it is. The US obviously did not anticipate the violence that followed the rigged elections. It¢s this that prompted the withdrawal of their kudos message.

If you have been watching the news lately, you may have noticed how nonchalant Mr. Ranneberger has been about pressuring the Kibaki gang to resolve the status quo. The EU seems to disagree with the US on this matter as they seem to have put more pressure on the government even threatening to cut funds.

Fellow patriots, if you ask me this thing has US written all over it!
