Peter, I agree with you totally. We dont have to kill ourselves to the level of Rwanda in order to realise how futile violence is. I support peace to one of the most beautiful countries on earth,Kenya.

If only you knew the tremendous impact that Gandhi bestowed upon East Africa, you would uphold peace. He was a frequent visitor to the coast, his ashes are embraced by the Nile; so we need to focus on those aspects, no matter how minute, that unite us not those that divide us.Such includes our common heroes and heroine and the Mahatma comes to mind. That with non violence he was able to articulate his aspirations and the people's aspirations till eternity.
