Time honest leaders stood up for Kenya Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2008 01:07:33 -0800 (PST) We have been saddled with inept leadership for so long as a country. I bet, times like this is when the country realizes who loves her most. It is such times that all leaders around the king must gather some courage to tell the king that he is naked. This is not the time to clap and sing songs of platitude. This is the time that some reality check must come into play, a time when honesty beckons. The scenario we have found ourselves is not being helped by a team that is hell bent on being in power even if the country is burning. It is all common knowledge that Sam Kivuitu does not know who won in the December elections, yet he pronounced Kibaki as the winner. It is also common knowledge that Kivuitu was driven to state house, and he found a full house only waiting for his arrival to have Kibaki sworn in. It is also common knowledge that Kibaki was sworn in in such a hurry that they even forgot to honour our National Anthem before and after the function. It is also common knowledge that someone authored the doctored results to be listed in the Daily Nation and the Standard, and used Sam Kivuitu's name, yet he did not know about all that scum. It is also common knowledge that Kivuitu said that PNU and ODM-K exerted pressure on him to release the results in Kibaki's favour so that Kalonzo could be named VP. It is also common knowledge that Mutula Kilonzo thinks that PNU with 43 MPs and ODM-K with 16 MPs form the majority in parliament. In the midst of all this, I thought we could have someone sane enough next to the president who could tell him that he has lost it all. That all is not well, because all the buttons he touches, turns red. Such are the times that we need Nationalist, not in the making of our former president, but in the stature of Nelson Mandela. Such are the times when people around the president should cease at applauding the nudity of the president, but point out to him that he is naked. Such are the times when Kenya comes before any purported state appointments. This conspiracy stinks. Oto Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
