Polls Crisis: What is the way forward? The ECK chair , domestic and EU poll observers have all admitted that the presidential poll tallying was flawed. We are therefore not sure that Kibaki has the people's mandate to rule. Since Kibaki has now teamed up with Kalonzo , they should allow a re- run of the presidential poll since they have the numbers to enable them win against ODM. Many Kenyans are frustrated by the flawed outcome of the presidential poll tallying. Many of us are asking this question...'why should we participate( vote) in a presidential poll if the outcome can be decided by a few people ( ECK) in a room at KICC??' Kibaki and team should not be allowed to get away with this otherwise we will be killing democracy in Kenya! We are setting a bad precedent! The media and even the church leaders must first seek truth and justice, otherwise we will not achieve lasting peace. Remember the words of our national anthem?... 'justice be our shield and defender: may we dwell in unity: peace and liberty : plenty be found within our borders.' Those who were displaced are not willing to go back until we have lasting peace. Lasting peace will not be achieved through the gun or mere rhetoric. Kenyans must start proving plausible solutions and not just pedestrian arguments that Kibaki and Raila must talk. What role can the ECK, Amos Wako, Evans Gicheru, Major Ali, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Cardinal Njue play in resolving the impasse? They contributed in one or the other to the problem.
