What has happened in Kenya Kenya
PLEASE JOIN US IN THE DEMONSTRATION FOR PEACE, JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY, AS
KENYANS IN THE DIASPORA AND ITS SUPPORTERS PROJECT THE VOICES OF THE KENYAN
CHILDREN AND CITIZENS AS THEY PLEAD FOR A DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT THAT WILL
GRANT THEM PEACE AND JUSTICE.
KENYANS FOR JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY (KJD) WASHINGTON, DC GROUP HAS ORGANIZED
A PEACEFUL RALLY AND THEREAFTER
A PRAYER SERVICE THAT WILL TAKE PLACE
FRIDAY, JANUARY 11, 2008 , AT THE FOLLOWING VENUES:
- U.S. CAPITOL HILL ( WEST FRONT GRASSY AREA – IN FRONT OF THE LONG STAIRS) – FROM 10 AM (PROMPTLY) TO 12 NOON (WE WILL BE RECEIVED BY OUR CONGRESS REPRESENTATIVES AS WE ADDRESS OUR CONCERNS AND DEMANDS IN HELPING KENYA REACH A MEDIATION POINT TO RESTORE PEACE IN KENYA).
NOTE:Since the U.S. Capitol
Hill will be hosting –
five other non-related demonstrations scheduled for each hour,
on that same day, IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO MATCH OUT.
The Capitol Police is trying to maintain order to avoid clashes
on the streets since other demonstrators will be WAITING on both sides of
the streets (Constitution Ave Independence Ave
noon and either walk normally as other citizens to the next venue
(State Department) or take the Metro.
THIS IS GOING TO BE A BUSY DAY FOR THE CAPITOL HILL – SO PLEASE
RESPECT THEIR LAWS. The good
side is our group has been given
two hours to demonstrator as opposed to the one hour allocated to
the other groups.

STATE DEPARTMENT – Since there is
heavy construction at the State Department,
FOR OUR SAFETY the DC Police will only allow the Group Leaders
and some of the protestors (NOT EXCEEDING 100) to proceed to the State Building,
since the sidewalk cannot hold more than 300 plus demonstrators that have
confirmed will attend the demonstration.
The REST of the demonstrators will wait at the adjacent park
next to the

NOTE: PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES AND A BOTTLE
OF WATER. DRESS WARM, BUT WE KNOW GOD AND THE WEATHER WILL BE IN OUR FAVOR.
