in power!
All those who are in power and those who might find themselves in power someday, will do well to remember the following: 1. Remember where you came from. 2. Remember the people who made it possible for you to be in power. 3. Remember that anything that has a beginning will most definitely have an end. 4. Remember to leave a good legacy for your after generation. 5. Avoid mistreating or looking down upon your subjects. 6. Be fair and nice to all your subjects. 7. Remember that some of the people you are leading now will be in the position where you are. Treat them fairly. Life is such that you might find yourself needing them. 8. Be watchful for the writing on the wall. 9. Know and, I repeat, know when to call it quits. Avoid being kicked out of office. 10. Never underestimate the power of angry and frustrated people. 11. Avoid involving your family members in politics for many family members are known to have suffered greatly thereafter. 12. Lead by example by following and abiding by the same rules that you want your subjects to follow. 13. Fear God by doing the right things and by being fair to all His children. I appeal to some of you to add more points for the current and future leaders to remember. - Pr Birai Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
