5 Feb 2008 Meeting
Cancellation - Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka Unconfirmed
As we said, Musyoka is not in town to chat up the local expats... Kenyans, the real issue at hand is the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Hearing. We suggest you get there, if you can. The evidence, as you can see, that Kibaki stole the Kenyan presidency is overwhelming. We believe that it will not be long before Kibaki is forced to either hold a new election or cede power. That said, we must not allow these illegitimate officials to make backroom deals with "U.S. Government Officials." Kenyans, Africans and progressives must reject any attempts by the west to install or to keep in power leaders who were not elected by the majority. We do not need any more Mobutu Sese Sekos or Idi Amins. Here is the information on the Thursday, February 7, US Senate hearing:
"The Immediate and Underlying Causes and Consequences of Kenya's Flawed
Election"
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2008 Time: 9:30 AM Place: 419 Dirksen Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510 Presiding: Senator Feingold Source: Coalition of Kenyans and Allies for Democracy http://kenyansfordemocracy.blogspot.com/ Regards, Jaluo Press P.S. This doesn't mean that you can't still protest the fact that an unelected Vice President appointed by an unelected President-- that is, would be Dictator-- has actually come as a representative of people who did not choose him to represent them... Last time we checked winning 9% of the vote still meant that you lost 91% of the vote...
