RE: STOP THIEF!! Kalonzo to talk in the US on
Wed. 6th Feb

In the beginning, there was Kalonzo in ODM who shared all discussions and other secrets with other members of the opposition. Later on was persuaded to spoil and undermine Raila group at least to spoil changes for Raila. The people refused and voted fearlessly for ODM. Their voting rights were wasted resulting into countrywide chaos. Needless to say, his plans were clearly demonstrated by accepting the VP slot. This means that Kalonzo and Uhuru are not sincere and therefore cannot be trusted in public leadership. Kalonzo is not capable of briefing UK nor US MPs with sincerity. The best greetings to Kalonzo will be rotten eggs or tomatoes hurled at him as a sign of being a disgrace to our once booming and beaming country Kenya.

Kalonzo to brief Britain, US on crisis

The Vice-President, Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, was last night expected to leave for the UK and US to brief the House of Commons and Senators on the political crisis.

Musyoka is scheduled to meet Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, some members of the House of Commons and friends of Kenya. Top on the agenda will be to reassure them on the Government’s effort to restore normalcy and its commitment to the ongoing mediation talks. After talks in Britain, the VP will then proceed to the US to meet Congressmen and Senators for the same brief. The VP would strive to convince his hosts not to downsize investments in Kenya due to the post-election skirmishes.

In a statement, Kalonzo reiterated the Government’s commitment to the talks and its efforts to find a lasting solution. Kalonzo jets out of the country against a background of renewed suspicion between ODM leaders and President Kibaki over the latter’s statement at the African Union (AU) Summit in Ethiopia that the Opposition planned and executed the violence and mayhem in the country besides refusing to accept defeat. In his address to African leaders, Kibaki had intimated that the Opposition was to blame for the ongoing post-election skirmishes. In a quick rejoinder the Opposition leaders bitterly criticised Kibaki, saying his remarks did not augur well for the ongoing talks.

America and UK have in recently threatened to review their developmental support to Kenya if a quick and lasting solution is not sought. In his four-day tour, Kalonzo will be at pains to convince these key partners on why they should rescind their intention to hold back aid to Kenya.

The EU and the AU also want Kenya to find a solution and have already thrown their weight behind the mediation efforts of former UN Secretary-General Mr Kofi Annan. Already the Annan-led team has kicked off in earnest to tackle the set agenda and there is optimism of reaching an amicable solution. More than 800 people have been killed and over half a million displaced due to the disputed Presidential election results.
