Albert Ajumbo died on 06/09/03. He was buried on 06/14/03. On 06/10/03, a relative sent an announcement request to jaluo.com, to publicize in the obituary (Kuyo) section of our newsletter. That announcement and a subsequent reminder has not been received to date. Needless to say, many people failed to pay their last respect to jaduong' Ajumbo because we were unable to make them aware of his demise.
This is just one of several hundreds of complaints that we have received from our readers about their email not receiving attention from us at jaluo.com.
The truth of the matter is, since sometime in May, the majority of email written in luo has not been getting through to us. It would appear that the US Department of Homeland Security is stopping all mail written in luo and only letting through mail written in English. We have come to this conclusion after carefully scrutinizing the web site visitor statistics, and the games being played with our mail server.
It is beyond me to fathom how a small tribal community as ours can be a national security to the mighty USA to the extent that our e-mails are confiscated. Surely, if interpretation of the content is the issue, why not talk to us directly about it? There are jaluo linguists who can interpret the content for a fee!
Please stop this bully nonsense and act your age America! Leave jaluo alone to do our mandate to our people. There are no Alquida here!
